Συνεχίζονται οι διαδηλώσεις στην Κωνσταντινούπολη για τον Εκρέμ Ιμάμογλου – Χιλιάδες στους δρόμους για τον φυλακισμένο δήμαρχο

 

Με τον Εκρέμ Ιμάμογλου να περνά ακόμα ένα βράδυ στη φυλακή, η Κωνσταντινούπολη παραμένει σε αναβρασμό, καθώς χιλιάδες διαδηλωτές συγκεντρώνονται στους δρόμους, μετατρέποντας την ατμόσφαιρα σε πεδίο έντασης.

Ο πρόεδρος του Ρεπουμπλικανικού Λαϊκού Κόμματος (CHP) επισκέφθηκε τον κρατούμενο δήμαρχο στις φυλακές της Σηλυβρίας και απηύθυνε νέο κάλεσμα στους πολίτες να συγκεντρωθούν έξω από το δημαρχείο της Κωνσταντινούπολης. Στις εικόνες που κάνουν τον γύρο του κόσμου, χιλιάδες υποστηρικτές και φοιτητές διαδηλώνουν ενάντια στην κυβέρνηση Ερντογάν, εκφράζοντας την αντίθεσή τους στη φυλάκιση του Ιμάμογλου.

Ο ΟΗΕ εξέφρασε την έντονη ανησυχία του για τις μαζικές συλλήψεις που πραγματοποιούνται στην Τουρκία ως απάντηση στις διαδηλώσεις.
